If you think Eminem Show is where the bandwagon started, you're absolutely clueless & there is no saving you.

This has to be one of the saddest profiles I've ever read on this site. If you hate Reddit so much, why do you always come back cucked & ready to post more? Just leave.

That Bonnaroo lineup looks incredible, damn. I've never been to 'Roo, but I see a good 10 artists each day (other than Day One which I love the headliners) that I'd love to see. I love a good camping festival as you don't have to pay for a hotel & it gets you around a bunch of people who probably have a similar taste as you. I'm a pretty introverted dude usually, & I've made a lot of friends from these festivals. Cost & travel is usually my biggest barrier to going to festivals. Okee is another that I'm super interested in as well, but mainly because I live closer to Okeechobee so travel is easier for me. As much as I like meeting new people at these festivals, I also do enjoy smaller festivals with less people.

What was your favorite festival you volunteered for?

[Neck Deep - December] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NnQs3EtoqU) - About a heartbreak in December

"Pain is never permanent but tonight it's killing me

I hope you get your ballroom floor

Your perfect house with rose red doors

I'm the last thing you'd remember

It's been a long, lonely December

I wish I'd known that less is more

But I was passed out on the floor

That's the last thing I remember

It's been a long, lonely December"

[SLANDER- Love Is Gone] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yctQRe--q6c)

[Seven Lions x ILLENIUM x Said The Sky - Rush Over Me (ft. HALIENE)] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhA55hYnoHw)

[ILLENIUM - Blame Myself] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykCT79acX3w) - If you want something more energetic, check out the [Remix] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBJIqOhLTvo)

[Motionless In White - Another Life] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pj2miRJ6bZs)

And of course a classic for relationship turmoil, [Taking Back Sunday - Cute Without The E] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_Pj32HujgQ)

I hope you are able to get over your ex before long & get back to enjoying everything around you, but don't be afraid to wrestle with these feelings & get them out fully.

> So pretty much all of my life I just listened to the music people around me were listening to. When I was a kid, I listened to whatever was on the radio and what my parents played at home. As a teen, I just listened to whatever my older sister would recommend. Now, in college, I listen to whatever songs my friends are.

Asking those people what they're listening to, & saving this artists. Listen to the album that song is from to see how you like it. Do you just like the song, or does that whole album's sound speak to you? If the album does, check out their other stuff. On Spotify there's "Artists similar to x" which will be another good place to look & see. If you want to see what genres people use for it, I suggest going to RateYourMusic.com (RYM) & searching the album to see what most people recognize it as. When you see a genre you don't recognize, look it up on google & play some other music of that genre. See if you can spot similarities in sounds, instruments, singing styles.

> On top of that, when I look at music festival lineups I feel like I don't know anyone even though I should.

Look up some of the artists you don't know. Those at the top will probably be the most popular ones, so they could be a good place to start.

tf? There's plenty of white people you could've put there who actually did shitty things: David Bowie, Steven Tyler, Iggy Pop, Frank Sinatra, Sid Vicious, etc.. So your shitty ass race baiting is dumb af.

Did Taylor Swift commit sexual assault, domestic violence, or anything even remotely close to this you listed along side her?

Angry grief songs is a difficult one. I wish you the best for overcoming this! Only one I can think of off the top of my head would maybe be [Metallica's The God That Failed] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC4se0jX1XE) which deals with James being more angry at his mother's religious beliefs which led her to refuse treatments for her cancer because she believed God would heal her.

It still exists as an option for a streaming platform. In fact I love it because it, unlike Apple & Spotify, can be used with DJ software so I can use it when DJ'ing venues.

Dope! Like I said, I'd wanna go somewhere where I wouldn't have to think so much & would just let the music take me & do with me as it will.

Dunno how much you'll love these as much as I do, but these kinds of tracks just get me fired up & ready to let loose. Disclaimer: it's definitely recommended to have some good headphones or speakers where you'll be able to hear & appreciate the low end as much as the mid.

[LSDREAM X INZO - BLASTA] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iTClWkQRPw) - probably my favorite EDM track released this year. Has all the best qualities of the genre that I adore: funky, heavy, produced well, showcases both artist's qualities so damn well. That last drop with the scream is just chefs kiss

[Au5 - Snowblind (ft. Tasha Baxter)] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkWadKHAnPI) - This song is just so beautiful. Tasha's vocals are incredible, the drops have mixes of drum n bass to melodic to heavy. Complete package of a track. Au5 is a master of his mixing too. If you like this, there's so many artists in this vein you might adore, like..

[ILLENIUM - Blame Myself (Virtual Riot remix)] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBJIqOhLTvo) - More along the melodic dubstep side. Lyrics could be decently relevant right now for you as well. He's got an album coming out soon too & I've enjoyed the singles a lot so far, like [All That Really Matters] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gxxW5NqICc).

[Seven Lions x ILLENIUM x Said The Sky - Rush Over Me (ft. HALIENE)] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhA55hYnoHw) - Another melodic one. HALIENE's voice is so angelic & mixed so well into the track. Lyrics are very touching as well.

[Seven Lions x Excision x Wooli w/ Dylan Matthew - Another Me] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7pZR9hZ9XU) - Good mix of artists here with Seven Lions great at making emotional melodic builds & then Excision & Wooli bringing the heavy. A nice segue into the next dude, since he's a bit of an Excision Lite.

[Midnight Tyrannosaurus - Brain Sludge] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKDYqJfvgsQ) - Love the Borderlands Psycho samples. Much heavier though but I'd want a little aggression to release some of the anger I may feel about the ongoing situation. Midnight T can make a hell of a buildup & once the "bad time" comes, I'm completely fucking lost in the sauce.

Decent little selection there. If you like them & want more, I'll definitely share more as I love this music way too much.

Nice! I'd definitely recommend going to a show more in the style you like, but don't shut out the idea completely to check out something new if it comes around. My favorite app for finding shows is EDMtrain, shows a lot of my favorite artists in my area. Drugs aren't necessary either, so don't worry about them (if you do get into them though, be safe & buy from a trusted source or bring a test kit to make sure taking what you think you are). I've had fantastic times both rolling & sober.

Do you like EDM? Have you been to an EDM show or rave? Also, do you like drugs? Just curious. EDM is a music that, for me, I feel viscerally more than any other. Hardstyle isn't my preferred genre but I don't hate it. But seeing these songs performed in a club with a wicked light show & good speakers where you feel those hits really helps get why someone would like it. I'd compare it similarly to the heavy metal of dance music where the fans may be former/current headbangers who like to go crazy in a show. The drugs don't make the music itself good, but they certainly can help. If I'm tripping on cid or rolling, EDM is gonna be the music of choice 9 out of 10 times because I don't need to think so much about it. I just give in to the music
