Everyone in the city has access to efficient public transportation. The differently abled are covered and many probably aren’t using cars in the first place.

Car owners are villains because they are reckless and uncaring at best, self centered murderers at worst.

Just because you’d cry without Uber and delivered food doesn’t mean you can project that into the rest of us. Our feet work and public transpo is top notch.

Yea, from what I read of that paper they are saying that arm rests would help the disabled. Albeit, as you said, ones that can move.

So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to go back to being mad at WMATA and not each other.

P.s. nothing against the obese either. And I’m impressed you dig up 150 pages on railroad equality for the disabled so fast. Research skills are on point.

The handicapped seats are specifically designed for access issues. Don’t be all high and mighty with me. Only people I ever saw struggling to get into an arm chaired seat are Americas largest demographic: the morbidly obese. I’ve even seen blind people have no problems with them!

Like, come on, I’m all for equality of access. But no arm rests can’t be helping that many. Show me some Numbers or a research article before you climb Back up on that pedestal.

Would recommend! I got rid of mine two years ago. About 4 months before the pandemic hit. I pay $50 every 4-6 months for new tubes and tires. I’m riding a bike from 1993 that’s a fucking beast that I got on Craigslist for $100 three years back. I have a milk crate strapped to the back for carriage. When biking I notice incredible things, I feel healthy, my commute to work is half biking half metro rail. Metro is honestly the most expensive part. Wish they’d get their shit together.

Honestly. You don’t think about, but biking also saves you a lot of cash outside of the vehicle. You’re mucch Less likely to spend too much cash on eating out when you have to bike to wherever you want to eat. Gotta be conscious of how much you buy anywhere cause you gotta bike it home. Impulse buying drops significantly. At least it did for me.
