You’re only proving how immature you are. Kids giving strangers middle fingers has nothing to do with sports. Sports are competitive and athletic. Having your kid flip off a stranger isn’t even creative or funny. It’s just dumb.

If that’s something you feel the need to get behind and support, I feel bad for you. Sports are a lot more enjoyable when you focus on the game, not bullying strangers who you have no idea what they’re going through. By all means, talk shit and flip off your friends. I do that but I know how they are and what’s going on in their life.

You are a complete child

1 fan bullying a stranger is 1 too many. Philly is known for it. I never said every fan cause of course it isn’t every fan. Not looking for a hug. Looking for you to acknowledge too many of your fellow fans are out of line bullies and then for you to fuck off back to middle school. This is even more simple than your algebra homework

Again, you’re trying to defend beer can throwing and direct verbal abuse with something mild. So 49er fans molested the Rocky statue and posted online memes. No direct impact on anyone. They did not ruin anyone’s experience at the game like Eagles fan do getting in peoples faces and throwing things, deflating tires, etc.

Penguins and Pirates play there more often. I went to a Pirates game in August before the Phillies even had a hope for the playoffs. Every time I got up from my seat I had to deal with “Pirates suck!” from multiple people just for wearing my jersey and minding my own business. I would absolutely never take my kids there.

Also you’re claiming Pittsburgh hates Philadelphia in a thread where majority are saying it’s ok to cheer for the Eagles. If anything, we hate that we can’t go to games that are just a few hours away in an otherwise lovely city of history, food, and arts, without having to deal with immature people. It may only be a small percent of yinz but wayyyyyy higher than any other city.

Ok_Plane6153 t1_j6i1d9d wrote

That’s bullshit. Yinz dump beer on away team fans, verbally harass them, film it, post it, brag about it

Your motto is “Nobody likes us and we don’t care”. Like yinz legit say that as a defense for your immature behavior.

“You guys hate us WAYYY more than we even think about you” is a pretty back handed thing to say. If you don’t even think about us, why can’t I go to a game in Philly dressed in black and gold and not get shit about every 5 minutes? Wear green in Pittsburgh and we’ll buy you a sandwich with fries

I pay $90/year for Erie renters insurance that covers $300,000 in damages. Erie is probably more expensive than others you see on TV all the time but better coverage and service.

Also it's a good idea to take pictures every so often of your place, especially the more valuable stuff. Keep a log of what the stuff is in terms of make, model, other specs, etc.

Sorry I can't help you with the present situation.

Ah gotcha. There’s a few people that go out in Pittsburgh but this is really a smaller city with a lot of separate areas and urban sprawl. To put in population perspective, Philly is 5x in size

What I’m really trying to say is…. I’ve been on 1 date in the 10 months I’ve lived here and go out often

A little rough but we still have a lot to be thankful for. A big thank you to everyone that works on Christmas. I agree with the sentiment that they shouldn’t have to but when a pipe bursts and there’s already fatigue from a medical situation….Dennys saved the day.

The expectations for what people feel Christmas needs to be is set way too high. Presents, sweaters, trees, lights, movies, music, food…it can give a magical feeling but if any or all of that doesn’t happen, it’s ok

The most magical feeling is finding a way to give, not get

We also had a pipe burst and wouldn’t have been home to turn the water off within 2 minutes of hearing it if it wasn’t for a family feud. It would have gushed water for at least 4 hours and probably till the next day before it would be noticed had we not heard it due to its location.

Strip near 26th. Goes out for 1 to 3 seconds every 10 to 20 minutes since 10:30am. At least 45 times now.

I’ve given up and unplugged everything but my phone charger and have resigned to reading a backlit Kindle in bed until I realize I need to eat food. I’m debating turning off all the circuit breakers except for the HVAC and fridge

I also lived in Heinz Lofts (not to be confused with 950 Heinz next to it). It's an old converted building so its built well (concrete between floors) but pretty dirty, especially the parking garage that has steel beams every 5 feet that you have to drive through. The main reason not to live there is poor management. It became clear they didn't flip my apartment at all and that caused a lot of issues. Other billing issues. And still some noise issues. In short, higher rent does not equal better living.

Don't rent from Oxford Development (The Yards, The Helm, Coda). The apartments are built to look nice but are otherwise over priced and poorly made. You can hear every footstep from the apartment above as well as their neighboring apartments, much worse than any other place I've lived. The plumbing has ventilation issues and the p-traps dry out, filling your apartment with sewer smells. They're also not that well managed with lots of other issues.

Sounds like you were on Penn if Lotus was there to help but my first thought was you fell on the stairs in front of The Terminal. I see it happen a lot cause its so unclear where the changes are. Some are painted artistically, some with a black line, some not at all, some regular stairs, some on an incline.

"We need to fix our crumbling infrastructure!"

"I'm tired of infrastructure being fixed!"

I get that it is frustrating when there's a lot going on at once. I imagine it has to do with the overall need, the set backs from the pandemic, and new money being available to get things done.

Don't be surprised if it does show concern tonight but for obvious reasons. "John, as a doctor I know you need to get rest, take care of yourself and not take on this stressful job as a US senator" I think thats the only way Oz will bring up John's health, in a back handed way like that
