Reply to Remember Jamesway stores? This was the one in Tamaqua. They went out of business in 1995 (a few of them became Ames locations, Remember them too?) by a_person_96
Let's reminisce about Hill's department store, that was bought out by Ames also.
I knew Ames wasn't going to last. They picked up a load for western PA, the next week the trailer hit my dock, with the load still in the nose. They had a second order that we added behind the first load. No idea when they would get the product on store shelves, but you cannot have a supply chain that does get merchandise of the store shelves ASAP.
