Interesting. What specifically wasn’t working well?

I’m not sure. 4 people using WiFi with computers….kids use Xbox and adults use Netflix, Amazon and the smart tv. I don’t care so much about the Xbox experience but I can’t live without Netflix.

It’s not. It’s Aquidneck island and Cox has a monopoly and FIOS is not available here.

Interesting. What about Netflix? Will Netflix and Amazon not work well on my smart TV if I have T-mobile satellite internet? Because that’s more of a deal-breaker for me than losing video games.

There is no FIOS in my area.

Wow really? I might try that. I just tell them to please lower it because I don’t like the price and they do? I’m now paying $114 and there is a message on the bill that it’s going to be even higher on the next bill. Thanks Cox for the warning 😒

Thanks for the info. I didn’t know that. We don’t do video conferences but my kids play Xbox a lot. Not sure if that affects it.

I don’t know but when I was growing up in Coventry every night at 8pm there was a whistle from the fire station and my parents would say “oh it’s the 8 o’clock whistle kids, time to go to bed”. So maybe it’s just the fire station telling you to go to bed.

I call this train the “Bullet train”. At the Wickford Walmart you can see it rocket ship by, it’s truly a sight to behold. It’s otherworldly how fast it goes.

Thanks for posting the link. Where’s the “hate”? I’m not seeing it.

What did the mailer say? The article doesn’t say. Can’t make a judgement until I know what it says, it could say anything for all we know. I’m not in LC so I didn’t get one.

I’m not a Republican but let’s be honest, the democrats are also taking away bodily autonomy. This we have seen aggressively over the last two years. Never thought the democrats would lose their values like that but yet, here we are. So maybe this is not a democrat/republican thing but a government overreach problem. It’s almost as if both parties got together and decided that if they work together to represent corporate interests over individual citizens that they would be more successful. It’s very important that people keep their rights over medical decisions over their own bodies. Those rights are slipping away. And it’s both parties participating in that.

I have the over the air antennae and I love it! And I love not having my $200 cable bill. That was for basic cable only, not including internet. Cox sucks.

True, but maybe the better question is why are all the candidates that we are allowing to run for office such terrible people and so terrible for the population? Maybe we should start to have some rules for integrity in the process instead of it just being a race to nominate whoever will bend over the furthest to get that PAC money. I mean the whole process is so rigged from the start, you have to have giant corporate backers just to run here in RI. And then we are appalled that the one elected is a tool? I love my home state but am so saddened by what’s happening to it. Can you tell I’m frustrated?

Oh I know I’m throwing my vote away. But they both represent interests that I am dead set against. I mean I guess I could go for Kalus just to get this douche McKee out of office. Not that I think for a hot second that she would repair the damage that McKee did to healthcare, but then at least I can have my KingBaby moment to attempt to screw him. Lifelong democrat here but I don’t even recognize my party anymore.

Uhg, I refused to watch. McKee has been absolutely atrocious in office, I watched him burn healthcare to the ground from the frontline and that makes me so angry but this Kalus person looks like a giant tool that will continue in the same vein. I suspect that Kalus was brought here by the opposition so that they would have a bird in each nest. I cannot in good conscious vote for either of them.

They really are something else, my bill was $350 a month with basic cable! I said goodbye to the cable part and just use my TV antenna and I’m so much happier. But now they are trying to drive the bill up again, grrrrr. They have a monopoly where I am on Aquidneck island so they just charge whatever they want.
