Dude… did you have a stroke while writing that?
And I made sure every first time gun owner knew how to break down their firearm. It’s one of the reasons why man I could move some iron.

The thing you find out after working in a gun store then 911 dispatching is the people who are the most passionate about guns are generally the last people who should have them. I remember having to help “2A absolutist” break down their firearms or them paying me $25/hr to clean their guns for them.

9/10 when I gun is found in a bathroom it’s someone with a conceal carry permit who forgot it after taking a dump. I was a 911 dispatcher at one point in my life and we used to get calls about guns in bathrooms semi-regularly and it was always someone with a permit who left it behind.

That’s great unless you’re a chronic insomniac who works for a place that does random drug tests.

So… I’m gonna fix you here hero so you don’t embarrass yourself in the future. It’s not because I’m not using the point to deflect from the failure of Russian logistics. We know it’s been bad since the start, what I did is called “yes and…” but you of course already knew that. It’s historical context for major powers struggling with basic logistics when an east victory turns into an extended quagmire.
So… like I said that word doesn’t mean what you think it means and rather than being unable to process new information this is where you say TIL and move on with your day.

Clam down there hero. It’s just historical context that Russia isn’t the First Nation to struggle with basic logistics when a quick victory turned into a quagmire. “Yes, and…” as it’s called.

In all fairness… if you remember the early days of the Iraq War moms and girlfriends where sending soldiers body armor because the Bush Admin didn’t plan on the war lasting more than a few months.

Russia does have a larger population but… it’s a massively unpopular war at home which has created manpower shortages and Russia still has a home guard as to where Ukraine is fighting a war of survival and can throw 100% of its manpower into the war. So, your statement is factually accurate but leaves out a lot of the actual battlefield situation.
And if inflicting casualties is all they needed to win the war you’d be correct however, you are again taking a absurdly simplified view of the war. You don’t have to kill people if you can starve them out or destroy their motivation and we know that Russia has had craptastic logistics to the point that feeding its troops has been a problem and we have seen significant numbers of Russia troops just giving up. Also there’s the equipment issue, Russia effectively can’t replace lost equipment while Ukraine right now has an open pipeline from NATO to replace its equipment. So yeah, if this was a Napoleonic era war where manpower was the only real consideration but it’s 2022 and there’s far more going on.

Care to expand on that idea because they’re retaking territory, sunk a Russian capital ship, and Russias economy is in disarray. You know Russia is doing well when they have to ask North Korea for help.

Exactly. Just like what are the odds that if someone beamed a signal at us it would happen now with us being able to detect it vs. beaming it at us in 1283.

Know why China has 34,000 miles of high speed rail and the US has none? China didn’t spend 20-years and $5 trillion fucking around in Iraq and Afghanistan. The US made its choices and it was to spend tax dollars blowing stuff up overseas rather than fixing things at home.

Neoliberalism destroys everything it touches.
I’m from the US but vacation in Canada semi-frequently and it’s funny how every time I go north I have multiple conversations about how bad healthcare is in the US.
