You’re an idiot.
It’s impossible to eat something and get sick right after unless you were poisoned.
And as someone who worked closely with health inspectors in Manhattan back in the day, it would take multiple people calling about the same problem. And not just one or two.
And Honestly did you wash your hands before eating?

What’s wrong with higher taxes if they are properly allocated?
We don’t need a bigger police budget. We need better housing. Social program that help people off the streets and into jobs. A better board of Ed that spends money wisely and effectively.
But since everyone doubts that it could be done, nothing in fact gets done.
It’s an uphill battery with apathy, greed and ignorance.
If countries like Norway and provide high standards of living? Why can’t the US? If not the national level? Why not at the state level? If not at the state level why can’t we strive for it at the municipal level?
So many parts of jersey city are food deserts (example Marion neighborhood) With low access to quality public transport. That means that folks have less accessibility to jobs/schools.
You say, “well, move.” Say that to someone living on a fixed income, or to someone who is disabled. Say that to a single mom trying to make ends meet.
I’m not saying I have all the answers but nothing is done because everyone is convinced that nothing can be done.
SoWho ever can show me that they are invested in building public housing or other social programs that those who are less fortunate than us can take advantage of. Then yeah they get my vote.

Most farmers markets don’t get produce that actually comes from a farm. It comes from a wholesale grocer.
Don’t believe everything you see is actually organic and produced locally.

Selfish and short term thinking. Keep the value up until you can’t afford the taxes.

The farmers market is not what you think. Just be aware.
I personally just shop at the market on route 17 or the one behind the old sears .

The city is a joke. Along with this anti car movement. You want to take cars off the street? How about you improve public transit first before you take out lanes.
I loved that they added protected bike lanes to CC drive. But then they got stupid with the new traffic pattern.
All of this whole the idiot mayor ignores the rest of the city. Traffic is bad in other parts too. You know why? Because our NJ transit sucks.
Between the food delivery double parking when they are driving or when the bikes just cross traffic, the Ubers picking and dropping off people at the worst possible location in flowing traffic. The street closures because of construction or repairs. All of this Makes driving awful. But not where near as awful as waiting for a bus in the cold and rain.

There this growing wave of anti car people in the USA. Truth is, a car is such an incredible tool. Like anything else in the world, you need tools to match your lifestyle.
I’ll never trust a stranger to buy my groceries.
And I have my personal feelings on the shared economy….
Giving up my car is not in the cards for me.

Make coffee at home? Beside them canisters get pretty gnarly if they aren’t cleaned properly.

They complain about their rents and other problems and don’t realize that it all comes down to businesses buying politicians who make laws that protect billionaires and corporations. The problem isn’t with poor people.
