The whole ‘please excuse the video quality’ is just so they can post it first and get internet points. It happens on sports subreddits all the time. Someone will post a shitty quality version of a highlight, or one that ends right before the crowd reaction, so they can be the first to submit it. It’s shitty.

I’m not an Iceland expert but technically all beaches in Iceland are black sand beaches. Winter is best for winter activities like ice cave exploration, snow mobility on glaciers, and seeing the northern lights. Summer is better for road conditions and doing outdoor hikes and stuff like that.

You can see black sand beaches at any time tho. The most popular one is in the town Vik on the south of the island.
