Stay at the Chateau Frontenac, hire a guide for a walking tour of the old city, have dinner at the Le Café du Monde, ride a toboggan on the boardwalk, and generally dig the scene.

A lot of bills get proposed every session. Very few get enacted. That’s sorta how a democracy works.

Baseboard hot water heat requires 180F water temps. Heat pumps can only deliver 140F water temp requiring the existing baseboards be torn out and replaced with baseboard designed for lower temperatures. That’s a big deal.

For a variance to be approved these five conditions must be met
(A) The variance will not be contrary to the public interest; (B) The spirit of the ordinance is observed; (C) Substantial justice is done; (D) The values of surrounding properties are not diminished; and (E) Literal enforcement of the provisions of the ordinance would result in an unnecessary hardship.
If you are opposing the variance you should refer to one (or more) of the conditions as not being met. See NH ZBA handbook for a discussion of these.

If it happens I’d call 911 and report it. Fire department could remove branches and put up a blue tarp, depending on your town. Repair at your leisure. If wires are involved, call the power company, and they can start work on restarting power.

Because he owns a ski area. The thought of any of his employees getting high drives him wild. Any accidents that were caused by stoned workers would make his sky high insurance coverage dicey and he might have to pay out of pocket. (This is pure conjecture. What do you think?)

Large family: loads of washing per day, teens and long showers, watering lawn and garden, washing cars, leakage, etc. It adds up.

You have no intention of flying anywhere but you never know. Get the Real ID. You’ll have no regrets if you get it, but you might if you don’t.
