My top five and my suggestions for five aren't the same, for what it's worth. I've never been to Alaska and Hawaii and assume most people are referring to the contiguous states. For the sake of diversity:
Yellowstone, Zion, Everglades, Olympic, Gateway Arch Mammoth Cave

Wouldn't it be the sodium hydroxide that causes concern more than bleach?

Seriously, they were everywhere. I had no idea Maine had so many Amish people!

Thank you :) It was a big (and fun) challenge learning to shoot in The Green Tunnel. This is one of the first landscapes from the Appalachian Trail that I was really happy with.

I spend a lot of time hiking long trails. This year, one of the trails I did was the Appalachian Trail. One of the things I hear constantly in the backpacking world is that the AT "has no views." And a lot of the time, that's true. You aren't constantly led toward huge vistas like the other big trails. You have to work for them.
Here is one of the many times that the AT does actually have a great view. It's near Fontana Dam, near the park boundary, and it's an absolutely beautiful place!

Hopefully it's exactly as hyped as I was for my first trip to Utah. I don't see how anyone could possibly be more hyped than I was. I can't wait to go back!
