It's the internet, always have to add /s as tone is highly up to interpretation.

Reply to after ASOIAF and kingkiller I dont dare to start reading unfinished series, I wonder statistically how much people are same and if it sffects other authors? by [deleted]
This is a hard thing to think about. There is a point in which yeah, if the series isn't done, it sucks to read and want more. But on the other hand, if we did that to every author, there would be no more books as they would not get funding after the first to continue the second or third.

Good, and I'm glad because it is so hard to break into that.

Cool, but the same thing happens with that. And that is not to detract from it, it is still impressive and uplifting, I'm just trying to quell what people think of when a book is a best seller. I used to think it was hundreds of thousands of books, when it might be a thousand in a short period. I'm really glad this happened and it took off the way it did, because he is likely to get more success as the social media train charges forward with it giving more eyes. I would love that to happen when I publish, but doubt it will.

Not to detract from the feel good story, but sadly best seller doesn't mean much when you dive into it. All you need is to be the best seller for any niche of the book in a week period. Mind you, you can forever claim that "new York times best seller" sticker for that book, but that is why you see so many books with it.

At that point ethical assisted suicide would have to become universally legal. Also to say, if they can stop it, they can start aging again as well.

This is awesome, but I will point out that if a book is published on amazon (ebook or print on demand) then you are unlikely to find it anyplace cheaper unless it is on sale on the other retailers, as amazon has a policy of not being undercut.
This works swimmingly for normal books though.

I don't put anything beyond people anymore on the internet. Statistically speaking, there is probably someone out there who believes GW is a good thing and actively does things to increase it.
