I don't think you are going to get any where for that budget. You may want to look at condo's but even that is still too low.
You can go on Zillow and put in the price range, area you are looking for (though I would include the whole state as a search area) and see what comes up. That will give you an idea of what is available and where.

If children are having an identity crisis, they should be in therapy with a qualified therapist. There is no reason a child should be given drugs or surgery that can cause irreparable changes. Allow children's bodies to develop as they should and when the child reaches adulthood, they can decide how they want to proceed.

Reply to comment by Donebrach in Where in and around Worcester can I find a cheap (under $500) mattress? by aKaake
I bought my memory foam mattress off Amazon and it was also inexpensive under $300. I've had it for over 10 yrs and it's still as comfy as ever.
Why would I go to a mattress store and pay thousands when you can find a great mattress on Amazon that is delivered to your door for free.

Fully support this, as parents have every right to know what is going on with their own child. No teacher, no school, no other segment should be denying parents their rights to know who is influencing their children or any other issue that is effecting their child. You cannot EVER take away a parents right to their children.

Since it's off season for the summer tourist shops, it may be more difficult to find in many areas.
Sometime country style stores have NH items. The Black Moose in Windham, and I am sure Portsmouth has some stores if you google it.

While Regan closing mental health institutions left little to no safety net for people, you have to admit that those facilities had been in steady decline for decades. It got to the point where care was non existent, people languishing, abused, neglected.
The mental health industry did not pick up the pieces, and often times non profits had to do what little they could to get people into group homes.
So to lay this at the feet of only Regan, is a disservice to all other segments of society that did nothing to provide needed services.

People are going to have to wait out the market. People can get everything ready for when something comes up so they can move quickly.

Your not getting anything in Beverly that has any kind of yard. Town is over built and getting worse. You can add Salem, Danvers, Peabody cities along with Beverly.

I don't know who started with this joke of a premise. You would have to build 10K apts to even see the slightest movement in prices. Not to mention apt living, especially in these large buildings is horrendous

I would contact the landlord and discuss the need for window coverings. Tell them what you prefer to use and that it will include them being nailed or screwed in depending on what you want.
Most curtain rods use small nails for the brackets which do not leave much damage. In fact you could tell them that you will leave the brackets and rods when you leave.
