We'd probably be spot on in predictions were it not for the massive lengths the upper echelons of power go to reign in their control over the masses.

Reply to comment by Necirt in Astros star Yordan Alvarez walks off the Mariners with a home run after the Mariners manager opted to use a starter, Robbie Ray, to get the last out of the game by Cheelai-Is-Thick
You're pretty right.
Starting pitchers aren't Closers. Starters are built for longevity with an array of pitches. Closers built to handle a small amount of batters, hopefully just 3, by throwing hard and fast.
Normally you do not throw in a Starter at the end of the game unless you're racked with injury... or you have no trust in your bullpen (slang for the non-starting group of pitchers)...
Walking off means to win the game, usually when behind in score or tied, at the last chance to do so in the inning before you either lose or stay tied and go to the next inning.
So, yeah, Mariners manager (coach) decided to throw a Starter in, in the hopes that he could work this dangerous batter, but paid for it by the aforementioned batter "going yard" (hitting a homerun).
The Mariners manager is definitely going to hear about it.

Reply to 'History of the World Part II' guest star Johnny Knoxville reveals how it compared to an actual 'Jackass' shoot and more. by Sisiwakanamaru
Started watching it last night, saw JK as Rasputin and lost it.
That Jackass has been included in a Mel Brooks associated production warms my heart for the boys.
Seeing Pontius party-boi with an orthodox cap on was hilarious.
