I’ve actually been thinking about setting up an online shop to sell prints and other wall art, nice to know other people think some of my work is deserving of printing. I usually photograph people so I’m a little unsure of my landscape work as it’s less familiar for me

Everyone I was with enjoyed their food, I had a burger which was good but maybe a little plain. They didn’t have pickles of any sort which seemed odd to me when they have a burger and some sandwiches on the menu but I guess their focus is more on seafood. Overall I would recommend eating there.

There’s also a station at TF Green Airport I’m Warwick. Check out Cranston, Warwick, West Warwick. The train only stops there about half as often as Providence but if it lines up with your schedule then it’s quick and easy to get to via car and has on site parking in a garage. Also a roof on the platform so in bad weather you’re not getting drenched waiting for your train. Not really up on the schools as I don’t have kids of my own but there’s some great neighborhoods for families all within a 15 minute or less drive from the airport train station. Also only 10-15 to get into Providence for all the city amenities. Cumberland and Lincoln are within driving distance to take the train out of Attleboro too, my mother did that for years when she lived in Lincoln and worked out in Boston. The Cumberland/Lincoln area is much more suburban also if that’s something that’s important to you

>“Textured Gear” is the creation of Rob Lorenson, an artist and educator based in Fall River, Massachusetts. His studio is housed in a massive warehouse, sharing space with Concentric Fabrications, a custom metal company that Lorenson co-owns. Since settling in Massachusetts in 1999, Lorenson has crafted hundreds of large, stainless steel sculptures, most of them incorporating circular shapes.
>Metal itself is so durable and enduring, says Lorenson. And the circle is a special shape in nature – the sun, the moon, the center of a flower, the iris – so it seemed like a natural shape to utilize in a sculpture.
>Lorenson grew up in Chicago and speaks with an affable Midwestern accent, but he’s also eloquent about his work, having taught fine art at Bridgewater State University for nearly two decades. As for Textured Gear, Lorenson didn’t create the sculpture for any particular place, but Providence feels like the right spot.
>The piece was conceived before I had any idea where it was going, he recalls. But now it sort of reflects its original intent, with the industrial skyline behind it. It’s a little bit like the history of Providence.
