They eat everything in sight, including your hair.

You make a good point. Big difference between reading about & actually interacting with animals. This is what I was really trying to say earlier. Hard to relate just reading or watching a video. Nothing like feeling their fur, petting, feeding, caring for & having some responsibility for another being.

The vegans I know wear wool but not leather, interesting.

Yes, Nubians are pretty sweet animals. The larger breeds can be ornery, but they have their moments.

Not a black & white issue. Domesticated animals are a fact of life. Vegans wear woolen jackets, some eat eggs. PETA has done a lot to improve the lot of farm animals. I don’t know what the solution is, but I know if you want to raise empathetic, thoughtful kids time spent in the presence of domestic animals helps.

Sad on many levels. Kids who grow up in suburban or urban areas would benefit from interaction with these gentle animals. I don’t see it as exploiting these animals.

Yeah I was self destructive, did my best to be an empath & show others kindness. Just built that way I think.

Good to know, I usually carry a leatherman when bike riding. My other knife is a sheathed sailing knife designed for quick deployment. Guess I’m in violation.

Forbidden drive during the summer owner swim their pups in Wissahickon creak off leash. My dog was attacked by a group of loose dogs and injured. After that I won’t go there without being prepared.

That or get attacked by some off leash out of control antisocial dog.

The dog owner is responsible. I am forced to carry bear spray & a hunting knife when walking in the park because people don’t control their animals.

I think we’ve struck a nerve here. In my area of the state the GOP candidates seemed to be doing pretty well financially after losing their races.

Susquehanna Partners skimming money from exchanges. Funding antiAmerican, antiDemocracy radicalized stooges. They made their money, don’t want others to succeed.

Follow the money. Find out who’s paying these cretins. They would not run and could not run without money from someone. There is a pattern of deceit in PA. I am convinced there is an evil backer paying extremists to run for office in PA.

There are very many elderly Pennsylvanians who lack credentials, birth certificates, passports etc. that would be needed for a voter ID card. My 90 MIL is one. She was born on her family farm in MD. She has lived here & raised a family for 80 years. She has voted in every election since 1960. She has several friends in the same boat. Don’t take away their vote🥲.

Kennywood is old school cool. Reasonable prices, friendly competent employees, delicious food, not over crowded(at least in the ten times I’ve been there).

Yep all the little guys have been forced out. 50 years ago when I was a student I’d work on family dairy farms. Sadly the last of them have disappeared. Nothing like cutting silage spreading manure or getting kicked by a cow.

Moderation in life is key. Would not trade anything for what I consider true friendships I have had with animals in my life. Hard to lose my last dog he was one in a million.
