Reply to How come planets are tilted? by JimmyNotDrake
Planets all have an axial tilt, with different amounts of precession and oscillations of the magnitude of tilt.
The moon, being tidally-locked to Earth, rotates only once per month in relation to the cosmos, remaining relatively stable, with axial tilt similar to the plane of its orbit.
You might find this passage from Wikipedia "axial tilt" interesting, though:
The Moon has a stabilizing effect on Earth's obliquity. Frequency map analysis conducted in 1993 suggested that, in the absence of the Moon, the obliquity could change rapidly due to orbital resonances and chaotic behavior of the Solar System, reaching as high as 90° in as little as a few million years (also see Orbit of the Moon). However, more recent numerical simulations[30] made in 2011 indicated that even in the absence of the Moon, Earth's obliquity might not be quite so unstable; varying only by about 20–25°. To resolve this contradiction, diffusion rate of obliquity has been calculated, and it was found that it takes more than billions of years for Earth's obliquity to reach near 90°.[31] The Moon's stabilizing effect will continue for less than 2 billion years. As the Moon continues to recede from Earth due to tidal acceleration, resonances may occur which will cause large oscillations of the obliquity.

Reply to The brightest gamma-ray in human history hit our planet this past Fall by PuzzleheadedOne1428
This story, again from another news source, shows us the preposterous "news cycle". That brings us "super moon" "harvest moon" "blood moon" or other invented moons, alarmist solar storms that happen a dozen a year, or the "planetary alignment" with an exact date my mom even asked about - which is one planet setting on the horizon, and then you turn around and look to the other horizon to see another.
That a prepublish about a presentation at the American Astronomical Society Meeting this week, concerning something that happened six months ago, can be written about once and hit news outlets all over to be regurgitated again and again.

Reply to comment by hemlockone in ELI5: Why does Apple have a different charger type for its phone to other manufacturers? by rrfe
Of course. Micro USB is designed better vs mini-USB (of prior phones just after proprietary charger connectors), as effort was made to move the side with contacts most likely to be damaged out of the device. And of course USB-C connector solves the age-old complaint of orientation (and USB wasn't as bad as Firewire adopted early by Apple, where a wrong orientation could be forced into the connector to smoke the device).

Because Apple wanted to consolidate all the connectors into one cheap port, and then make you buy overpriced add-on dongles for features like headphone jacks or on-the-go devices that other phones support natively.

Yep, you can mail-order juveniles, pullets (sexed layers), cockerels from many different places. Full sized at 5-6 months old. None quite as cheap as Costco.
