I had Pennie for a couple years and it was great. I also found that the customer service is really helpful. When you call you talk to a real person who can answer all your questions. Made it easy, and the website gives you all the plan options and prices, including your subsidy. So glad we live in PA, because a lot of states don't offer this many plans.

Nothing to worry about. Are you coming this week? Looks like a pretty quiet week with temps in the 30s or 40s with little precipitation. We've hardly had any snow this winter, unfortunately.

I was thinking of the sculptures on the Westinghouse Bridge, too. They are amazing. If you were going from Wheeling to Harrisburg, were you traveling on I-70 and then got on the turnpike at New Stanton? The Westinghouse Bridge would be route 30, which can get you to the turnpike, too.

How did people watch before cable when everything was free? I remember people watching on over the air TV and the Pirates games were always on the radio?

I remember reading it was the influence of the Great Lakes. The largest bodies of fresh water in the world influence weather for a big part of the midwest and northeast. Because of the lakes, we're pretty insulated from the coming water crisis in the drought belts of the south and west.

Always remember and don't ever forget: Local news's job is to get you to watch. That's it. The goal is ratings and revenue. The more eyeballs and clicks, the more they can charge for ads. The advertisers are their customers, not the viewers. It's been that way since the late 70s when consultants told station owners that news could be a big profit center.
