God, you sound insufferable. Better start doing your own research on pharmaceuticals, medical procedures and food sourcing since you can't trust the government. Good luck with that.

Right, bc a simple Google search will tell you everything that could possibly be going on at a daycare or school...

Both of their prices were within a few cents per watt installed back in July. Not sure how it might have changed since then with inflation and how the supply chain is doing. You can also check out Monarch Solar. Anyone who gives you an hour long fancy sales presentation is probably going to be expensive, so stay away from those. Sounds like you already know more or less what you want. Fuat at Sun Dial is no BS which I appreciated.

Yes, micro inverters as well from Enphase. I talked with 11 different companies, both regional and national, before deciding. I went with Sun Dial Solar. It was a good experience and I would recommend them. My runner-up was 603 Solar.

Yes that is pre-tax credit, you don't get the tax credit until you do your taxes for the year.

That's a fair rate but I think you can do a bit better. I had a $12.4 kW system installed for $38.4k. Contract signed last July.

Not a ton but some important ones. Our power has been out for 11 hours thanks to a tree falling on lines near our main road. Glad to have a generator.

Reply to comment by [deleted] in As a single 30-year-old man, should I move to the Manchester area? Looking for social/cultural advice. by [deleted]
People in this subreddit hate on Manchester for some reasons that I don't quite understand. I've lived all over the US, including the South and Midwest, before coming to NH and Manchester is really no different from other mid-size US cities.
From my perspective, the biggest difference between Portland and Manchester is size. Manchester is almost twice as large as Portland and if you consider all of Hillsborough County, which has 400K people, you will have a lot more dating opportunities. Plus, if you are in Manchester or further south it is about an hour or less to Boston. So you should definitely have more cultural and travel opportunities.

Have you tried the VA? As a veteran myself that is where I would go first. I can't speak for the VA services in S. NH as I moved here about 6 months ago.

The r/solar subreddit is a good place to start and has a handy FAQ. Just keep in mind that there are some significant regional differences in pricing. I think I had 10+ solar consultations, mainly virtual, and after a while I knew what was most appropriate for the house and had a good idea of competitive pricing. I definitely found the local installers to have the most competitive prices and are easier to deal with but also spoke with some national and regional installers.
I signed up for my system in July at $3.10 / watt, which was as low as I could get for a 2022 installation. Not sure what prices are now but it is good that the federal solar tax credit was kept at the same rate for 2023 due to the Inflation Reduction Act. If you want to PM me I can give you the details on my top two installers and who I ultimately went with and why.

Just got mine installed last month, now waiting on Eversource to swap out the meter. They are so backed up with applications and I can't blame people for wanting solar with these ridiculous prices.

Are there Russian trolls on such a small subreddit as New Hampshire? All parroting the same lines about Keep Voting Democrat, as if the state government isn't quite Republican.

I don't care if you have a different opinion than me on how to increase economic growth or address climate change, but we gotta at least agree on basic facts to work together. You know, like germ theory, vaccines, masks, etc. Glad she is out.

I feel like "both sides are so extreme" is a false dichotomy, especially with the Democratic candidates that were on the statewide ballot in NH. Care to provide any examples?
Also, yes, I agree we need to remove first past the post and get ranked choice voting.

I love how the story starts out by saying what a not so bad year 2020 was, conveniently forgetting hundreds of thousands of Americans and millions across the world didn't die from Covid-19. But hey, at least gas was 30% lower.
