Reply to Knowing we like a song takes only seconds of listening, new psychology research finds by thebelsnickle1991
These studies blow balls. This sub has been dominated by mundane finds, considering we bloody well live this thing called life.
Music either hits you initially, or takes time to grow on you. It finds you when you’re ready for it. This business of quantifying everything has its limits, and has become tiresome.

Frusciante needs to record solo music again that is music. While his parts on the new RHCP material are the more interesting elements, the two albums kinda suck balls (Canteen Dream is better than Love though)

Reply to You tell people to piss off when you're pissed off. by boringsimp
Looking up the origins of that term is a quick, slightly intriguing read. In past tense you can say somebody pissed-off (went away) and it have nothing to do with your own emotion.
But the act of telling someone to piss off, is indeed typically connected to being angry with said person. Oh, English.
