Jan Jacques is who my family has always used. She’s probably helped us buy/sell 10+ times. She and her husband run their own “mom n pop” business instead of one of the big brands.

I work at the Dream Center and we love having volunteers! Crosslines, Ozarks Food Harvest, and Convoy of Hope are some of are biggest partners and would all also be great places. Another great option is getting involved with your neighborhood association (association not HOA!), because they usually work hard to improve the area you live.

I’m pretty familiar with several of the orgs in town, feel free to DM me if you want more info!

Gotta be honest. IN MY OPINION… no one makes a better burger than Whataburger.

I used to always love them when I lived in Texas, and I figured it must be nostalgia or something. Nope, when the one in Republic opened, I sat in a long ass line to get one, and as soon as I took my first bite I remembered why I loved it so much. I’ve been nearly a dozen times since it opened in December.

I’m a big fan of Sportclips. Less expensive than the bougie shops, but a step up from a cheap place. I consistently get good cuts and great service. My favorite part is that they keep records of the haircut you get, so they know right away what you want. Also, online checkin is nice.

District 7 is a tough one for a democrat. I’m friends with our current candidate, and she’s not making much progress. She consistently has constituents tell her that they agree with everything she says, but can’t bring themselves to vote for a democrat.

You might do better as a conservative independent, since there’s a lot of people sick of Trumpism, but still would be a losing strategy.

I did it for a while last year. When it’s good, it’s great—I often averaged over $20/hr and a few times did $50/hr. When it’s bad, it’s dead—like either no orders at all or just bad ones that you should skip.

I’d say it’s worth a try. Start with like a Friday night or during a Chiefs game, when more people will order.

As far as safety goes, you’ll go into a lot of apartment complexes and trailer parks. I generally felt safe, but I’m a big guy. You might want to start during daylight hours to see how you feel.
