There are many pro sport athletes who have been able to do whatever they want and others that want to win cover for them.
He screwed up. Apologizing makes zero difference to me. Don’t screw up. People do, all the time, but an apology doesn’t make it disappear.
I don’t care if he owned it after. Don’t care. It was a stupid play by an asshat. He will forever be remembered by his actions, not his apology. The wife beater may apologize but that doesn’t eliminate his action. He’s still a wife beater.
Actions have consequences. I’m glad he got tossed and the team should cut him. He’s a disgrace. All these people touting his apology are just justifying excusing the behavior. He needs to grow up.
