Reply to Where can I print 2x2 passport photos? by 1incroyable
They're charging that much because it has to be configured perfectly in order to be accepted. Meaning your head has to be an exact percentage of the picture once printed, and it has to be cut perfectly. It's actually harder for most places to print a photo that they didn't take. You can do it yourself at photo kiosks at CVS, but you should make a couple variations.

You know there's a vast swath of Jewish Americans who don't keep Kosher to that extent right?

There's an entire cuisine theory about how immigrants had to modify their food after coming to America because of available ingredients. And how that doesn't make it any less authentic, it's just changed the category of what's authentic. Trying to gatekeep what is and isn't authentic gets ridiculous fast, because how far back do you go? "Authentic" Italian food doesn't have tomatoes because they came from America, etc.

I'm from Colorado, and the most Jewish deli my Jewish family went to had all sorts of combinations of cheese and meat, despite the pairing not being kosher. They would give kids Bazooka Joe bubble gum when leaving where the wrapper and cartoons were written in Hebrew.

Really? Thai? I've been mostly EH on all the Thai places I've been to, except one on Boylston Street that closed.

I went here a week or so ago and got the chicken enchiladas. I was massively disappointed, and now I'm wondering if I'm going crazy, or just hit a really bad time to visit. There was absolutely no sauce or cheese, and they drenched it in wilted shreds of iceberg lettuce and sour cream. I had heard about it on reddit before and was looking forward to it. I guess I'll give it another shot..

Why not take the shuttle to the blue line, take blue to State St or Government Center? From there, you could take the red line to Harvard for the 71 sure. I remember the few times I took the Silver line to/from the airport, it was absolutely awful.

At that point, you could also just take the shuttle to the Airport stop on the blue line for free.

Reply to Non traditional wedding outfit hunt by quasi-easement
As a very petite person, you're going to have a much easier time planning on having alterations than trying to find something that already fits. When I did my dress shopping, I budgeted 50% of my dress total for alterations and 50% for the dress itself.

As far as suggestions - I didn't really encounter places when I was dress shopping that had wedding dresses and suits. If you're looking for non-traditional, you could go to The Garment District in Cambridge. I think to get better answers, you might need to narrow down what you want. Super fancy? Vintage? Is there at least a general aesthetic you're shooting for?

Most won't even require it to be picked up/dropped off specifically at an airport. It's called a one way trip fee. I had to do it recently through Enterprise and it was an additional $75 on top of the normal rental.

I submitted a claim the first week of October, within a few days of my accident. I only got an email 2 days ago saying they could not find the report and that I won't be refunded.

I would argue they are trying to solve the problem by installing these benches.

Glad y ou enjoyed yourself! I'm going to have to check a couple of these places, actually. It's like if a friend comes to town to be a tourist and you finally get yourself arsed enough to try places.
BTW I think the vast majority of us are going to be rooting for the Phillies!

Maybe it's just me but I think it's crazy that this exit is the first exit after the 95 split. If there was an exit before this, there would be significantly less cars going through it.

Reply to What is the closest thing you’ve had delivered out of sheer refusal to leave the house by Previous-Aspect-3171
When I had COVID last year, I was really jonesing for a very specific iced coffee from Starbucks. My husband and I never order delivery, but I made an exception for this. I got a promo for $10 off $25 my first order or something, so I also got a bunch of the prepackaged snacks which were also great to have. The baristas actually put a nice sticker on my bag. :)
