They drop portable generators at the large output corner boxes. The use of the generator is what helps keep your line up and going. I literally just saw 2 in my town yesterday and thought how brave of them with the theft rate around area.

Reply to Dan O'Brien Kia to pay $1.25M in settlement over accusations of deceptive practices by Beneficial-Hand4310
All you have to do is Google customer reviews. They are very helpful in this regard. Had to get a new pick up, (my old one was done) happened to be right during covid.. really hard time finding the right fit and there was not one good thing reported about this company. So I drove 8 hours one way to upstate NY and got a new truck no BS from a really great dealer. No hassle, no double talk just honest easy no covid mark up truck at a real cost. Not sure if I will ever be forced to make a drive like that for a truck again but if I had to Canandiguia Dodge will be on my list.

Tress, debris and CMP are all problems, but the gas rate is high and your power is based off those prices. No one wants to cut back tree branches over the roadways which causes 2 issues, downed lines and poor road conditions. Maine is a poor hire state has been for a long time. The capable body's tend to leave for more pay and better conditions. Blame CMP all you want but the root is much deeper. Hydro out of Canada??? Biomass plants??? It's all there but people would rather overwhelm the system with 500 acres of farm/ forest field with solar arrays. Time to get a gen set if you can't handle the Maine conditions.

Reply to Lots of cheap houses for sale in Berlin NH. Is there a reason I don't want to live there? I can understand if no jobs (I can work remotely). Any other reasons? Also how is the rental market? I'm asking because there are inexpensive multi units for sale. by RedLeafRoy
It's got a wet woody smell to it. Nothing compared to a paper pulp mill, but still noticeable if buying closer to it.

Berlin is still a biomass mill town, that can mean heavy truck traffic and slight odor on bad days. Had a relative go to college there and visited them for a weekend. Needless to say it's an interesting mix of rundown poor to working lower middle class. After first year she was there downstairs neighbor shot himself out of depression. ( he lived) but drug use at the time was high in the area. Visit it before you really buy anything. Towns can clean up, and places can turn around. Cheap market though.

On a trip last weekend up north with spouse, can attest that when you keep it light, most people will repeat it on the trip. In my husbands case multiple times....heavy sigh...every car that passed us on the left he would exclaim loudly. Mash potatoes!!!. This is burned into my minds eye FOREVER. Thanks DOT sign person.

Reply to I’m looking for a place that would feel like a “tropical getaway” during January for a girls day trip in either New Hampshire, MA or southern Maine. I’ve already considered an indoor water park but I’m curious and open to any suggestions! by [deleted]
Have they reopened the kahuna lagoona in Conway after the fire?? That seems like a jolly good time for all... I really wanna go, but work tells me otherwise..sigh...

Blueberry gingerbread, with home made whip cream. Fish cakes with corn and potatoes. And as many have already mentioned baked beans, with bacon or syrup. Soups that are hearty with squash, pumpkin or potatoes were the given at my grams house on the Woodstove. She would always wrap potatoes filled with onions and butter in foil and throw them on the edge of the fire. This is the same lady that made seaweed cassarole.( I don't recommend).

Just saw your work the other day, Rockport Harbor. Have become a fan already. Your work has a personality on its own , (a clean rugged depiction)along with the New England scenes you choose as your subject. Love them.
