No worries. Yale used to have a castle approach to their campus but sometime in the 90s they changed course and have been buying everything around them to create a real estate moat that they can control. They don’t pay taxes on their properties which are “educational,” but their private property development arm owns a sneaky amount of property in this city and surrounding towns and they’re constantly buying up more.

What are you talking about, the hill was predominantly white in the 50s when MLK/legion and 95 were constructed.

Point 1 is incorrect, but you’re right about the design aspect.

When they had the idea to connect 95 to 34 via MLK/Frontage, the neighborhoods they tore down in preparation were primarily white.

That’s not me saying that, it’s the way the laws are currently written. Don’t kill the messenger.

Fun fact: in CT, you don’t need a Costco membership to shop at their liquor store and their store brands are often name brands in disguise.

They’ve been buying up a lot more in the past few years. Growing up, they didn’t move down Mansfield or Winchester or go over prospect. Then they got science park and have been pushing even north of division. They’ve been a bit slower to push into the hill, but even that is happening now.

Ehh, a few years ago I’d agree but Yale is buying up a lot of real estate in both areas pretty quickly.

You have no idea what this person’s motivation was for joining the military. Be careful on your moral high horse, the ground is hard.

Reply to "Native Land Digital" is an indigenous-led, Canadian-based non-profit group seeking to raise awareness of where original Native American tribes owned property. They admit that this is a work in progress, not perfect, and seek corrections. Thought the CT map (with some NY) was quite interesting. by CTHistory42
Is there also a map of known alliances/enemies? These tribes fought, allied, and/or assimilated with each other all the time so the idea that these always/only occupied what this map is showing is incorrect. It’s at best a snapshot of what we know at the time.

Have you tried starting a business first? Rather than leave the profession right away, you could take a risk of starting something you enjoy doing while still employed and if it does will you could make the transition then.

I don’t think it will be cold enough to worry about the radiators freezing but you could always bleed them a bit to keep the water circulating if you’re concerned.
