Its not that mobile homes attract tornadoes its that they are not built the same way a normal home is. They're "mobile" so they don't have a permanent concrete foundation to anchor to and generally are made of much lighter materials that do not hold up as well.

That's a really good summary and its a shame really because based on what was created during that time who knows what would've happened.

I've been reading Midnight in Chernobyl by Michael Higginbotham and its really incredible how the USSR operated vs what the people believed. While there was genuine support of the idea of a Utopia, the higher ups especially after Stalin didn't seem to think so, which is what brought the decline that would ultimately lead to the disaster and the fall of the union.
Do I support the USSR? Not really but I do feel bad for the people who achieved incredible things for nothing.

The unlimited rail passes don't include regional buses. Its only good for the $2 fare on Metrobuses. You have to carry a balance on your card or pay the $12/week for an unlimited regional bus.
I can't explain why you get that same issue. The bus(es) you might be using is likely an express route on the schedule. I'd double check on WMATA's website.

Are you just tapping into Metrobus or are you trying to tap in on another regional bus (RideOn, Fairfax Connector, ART etc)? Keep in mind that it only covers the first $2 of any fare for buses so if you're using an express bus you'll have to pay the balance.
Maybe call customer service and see whats up.

My hometown in SE Louisiana has gotten hit by a few, albeit smaller, tornadoes whereas before it was a rare occurrence. I've noticed that there tends to be more waterspouts over Lake Pontchartrain now and even NOLA has been hit by several.
