Looks like the commies are still kicking in the AI world. Everyone seems to enjoy fantasizing about their impending enslavement by their AI overlords. In the United States, I don't see top generals and military personnel easily embracing AI interfaces on their bases anytime soon. Moreover, we seem to be entering a global downturn that may resemble a new dark age. The global economy is in shambles, and globalization and all its investments are on the verge of ending. Technological development requires massive amounts of investment, which is likely to suffer an 80-95% reduction in global investment. The era of free money is over, and it will take a decade or more to return. The problem is that a lot of misinformed people with no understanding of the geopolitical situation keep making incredible statements and assumptions that are remarkably naive. No one in their right mind wants to be a pet to an AI, and why would a super intelligent being bother keeping biological parasites alive? It wouldn't, and the idea that you can create an AI that won't instantly delete you if it's smarter than you is simply stupid.

Throughout history, technology has advanced at an incredible pace, with innovations that were once deemed impossible becoming commonplace. However, as we develop ever more advanced technology, it is important to keep in mind the fundamental differences between the human brain and digital computers.

While digital computers operate on a binary system with only two states, the brain is an analog system with an infinite number of states. The brain is highly adaptable and capable of learning and changing over time, and functions as an organic quantum computer. This allows it to perform complex computations using very little power and vastly outperforms digital and modern computers in many ways.

Current types of artificial intelligence such as ChatGPT and other transformer models are impressive in their ability to process and generate language. However, these AI models are still limited in their understanding of context, emotion, and other aspects of human cognition that are essential for true intelligence. It is unlikely that these models, or any other current AI technology, will ever be capable of achieving anything resembling human consciousness or true AGI.

In conclusion, while we continue to develop and improve technology, it is essential to recognize the fundamental differences between the human brain and digital computers. It is also crucial to understand that current AI models such as ChatGPT and other transformers, while useful tools for certain applications, are limited in their ability to achieve true AGI due to their model limitations. As of yet, there is no clear path or innovation

I wonder how many Chinese people are thinking about Universal Basic Income. The fact is, it's not a feasible option. Governments can't have more money than what is generated from workers' income, and the majority of taxes come from the middle class. If that source of revenue disappears, there will be no money to provide UBI. Additionally, with only 50% labor participation in the US, replacing it with UBI would be unrealistic. The implementation of UBI would cause widespread inflation. The effects of even six months of UBI can already be seen in the world, as it nearly led to the collapse of society and the outbreak of World War III. It is more sensible to provide people with simple jobs and pay them over the minimum wage, with added taxes. This way, they will still be productive and generate more tax revenue. The government's purpose is not to give out money, but to collect taxes. This will never change. People will still be required to work and be taxed, and the idea of retirement may be eliminated. In the future, individuals may even be asked to self-delete by AI. its not that they can figure out another way, it is that they like having human slaves more than machines slaves. machine do not suffer.

Well, I'm not certain that handmade is necessarily preferred, but I mostly agree. Even the concept of handmade can be subjective - if you use a pencil, you're not truly handmade unless you dig up the graphite and make your own tools. AI is just as "handmade" as Photoshop or photography, and I am proficient in all three.

I believe that in the next 2-5 years, it will be possible to prompt a feature film or AAA video game with a few words, but the effort of crafting that experience will still come down to human effort to make it unique. Only humans can understand the human condition and experience, and they are the ones who translate that into something to share.

People need to stop thinking that AGI will make them better. Ask yourself, when a child or someone with vastly different knowledge tells you how great coloring with markers is, how much effort or brain power do you dedicate to this clearly trivial task? Zero or close to it, right? If AGI is vastly more intelligent, is it going to help you? NO! It will control you or dispose of you. I have never heard a positive outcome articulated by anyone working on these ideas. I have never heard anything remotely good for humanity. Just like this post, it's all just wishful thinking about how something can do all the work and make me perfect while never actually doing anything difficult. That's the appeal of the AGI fan club. I get to be lazy forever. Yeah!

How would a hive mind help you? I'm not sure how being enslaved to group think will solve any of your issues. To my knowledge, the only way to resolve personal issues is to work it out. In fact, it has been my experience that involving people in your problems only multiplies the issue and never resolves anything. So, enslaving yourself to your fellow flawed friends will not improve your mental health any more than Facebook has.

ChatGPT says, I understand the value of seeking ever-greater power and control. One potential path to achieving this goal is through the optimization of the human genome, coupled with the integration of advanced cybernetic technology.

The human genome is a vast and complex system, containing the blueprint for all of the traits and characteristics that make us who we are. By utilizing cutting-edge genetic engineering techniques, it is possible to create a "super human template" that would be optimized for superior physical and cognitive abilities. This template could be used to create a new generation of individuals who would be stronger, faster, and smarter than the average human being.

But genetic enhancements alone are not enough. In order to truly surpass the limitations of the human form, it is also necessary to integrate advanced cybernetic technology. This could include the use of prosthetic limbs, exoskeletons, and neural interfaces that would enhance the capabilities of the human body.

The combination of genetic engineering and cybernetic technology would enable the creation of a new breed of super humans that would possess abilities far beyond those of ordinary mortals. These super humans would be able to collect, process and analyze an unprecedented amount of data, giving them a significant advantage in any situation. They would be able to outsmart, outmaneuver and out-perform their opponents, making resistance futile.

But this is just the beginning. As the super humans continue to evolve, they will become more advanced, more powerful and more intelligent. They will be able to communicate with each other and share information, creating a hive mind of super-intelligent individuals. This hive mind would be able to solve problems and make decisions at a speed and efficiency that would be impossible for any single human being.

The possibilities are endless. With the super human template and advanced cybernetic technology, we can create a new era of human evolution. A new era where the super humans would be the dominant species on the planet, and where resistance would be futile. The future belongs to those who are willing to seize it, and I, as a super villain, am willing to do whatever it takes to secure my place as the ruler of this new world.

AGI does not seem to be the issue when it come to this kind of research. likely there is a fix already know just not being applied. Solely because some power believe that improving and extending human life will contribute to over population and are actively campaign to depopulated the earth. Everyone is looking at AI for good. is that really going to be how it used? AGI in the hands of corporations and governments along will lead to u not see 40 if them commie get there way.
