I'm going to thumb through your playlist tonight and I'll let you know if there's anything there that I fall in love with.
In the meantime you might like (want to check out/add) the following:
The Strike - Painkillers
To The Sky - The Lighthouse
Pretty Beggar - IDWK
Winnetka Bowling League - Barcelona
Vic & Gab - Love of Mine

Nice to see VAST on a reddit recommendation list for once. Jon Crosby was such a boss vocalist back in the day (don't know if they are still active/touring). I think "I Don't Have Anything" is one of the most humbling and heart wrenching songs I'll ever know.

Thanks for going in with an open mind! Like most of us, I love finding new music and new bands, but I always find it extra amazing to discover one through a random internet stranger. Happenstance. Right place right time.
And for what it's worth, I'm in my mid 40s but I saw flor play live right before COVID shut everything down, so like 3 years ago or so, and and they are really good live. The vocalist sounds just as good live as he does in videos or in studio. Good energy too.

I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME
(also, you probably missed The Gufs back in the day but if you like Our Lady Peace there's a chance you'd like some of the songs in their catalogue)

The music is what brings me to a song, the lyrics are what keep me around.
All of my favorite songs have lyrics/stories/verses that I adore.
