Films were never looked at as a long term thing back then, movies were completed in days & because of how volatile the film stock was, they would burn the film.
They never intended people to watch them over a 100 years later, so they pumped out stuff & it was gone before you knew it.

While I totally get what you're saying, the foundation of the Frasier show came from the chemistry between the cast, without them it's just another sitcom.

This is like bringing back Seinfeld without George, Kramer & Elaine. It's not worth it. What made Frasier so good is the chemistry between the cast. It felt finely tuned. This, I have no interest in watching without the core cast.

I saw it for the first time this year & was blown away. The way it captures the vastness of space, it makes you feel tiny.
I was sure that the movie was going to be terrible, but i thought it was incredible. I hope in time people revisit it & give it the praise it deserves.

My favourite moment was Lalo Salamanca entering Jimmy's apartment in Better Call Saul. The way it's framed with the candle & Kim & Jimmy's reaction, it's like a scene from a horror.

Reply to Movies your parents let you see? by The-Mike-drop
My parents let me watch everything as long as I didn't go around saying it to other kids who might not be as clued in.
There was uproar by a parent when I was in school, when we were at a kid party one of the kids secretly brought a dvd of the South Park movie, I had seen the movie so many times that I wasn't bothered seeing it. The parent brought up in the meeting how good it was that I didn't watch that sinful movie with the rest of them. My parents told her 'why would he need to sneak around watching it when he has it on dvd at home".
My parents felt that by not letting kids watch things created a separation that would lead to me hiding things and sneaking around.
My brother, who is only a year younger than me, wasn't as clued in so he was allowed to watch stuff within limits.
I know this doesnt work for a lot of people, but I think it was just another aspect that made my relationship with my parents more open.
Now at 28, I have some great memories going to the cinema with my parents watching movies & TV shows, my parents watch the same shows as me (my mother's favourite shows are The Sopranos, Better Call Saul, The Wire, Eastbound & Down & Vice Principals), so there is zero awkwardness when it comes to things on the screen.

I was afraid it would water down the Evil Dead formula & create a safe reboot for a wider audience but about 30 minutes in the movie switches up & becomes gruesome & even more gorey than the original trilogy.
There are times where I winced at what was on the screen, but putting all of that to the side, it's a really great movie.
The whole idea of this character dealing with her own personal hell in withdrawal while all of this happens adds a very unique layer to this movie.

I can understand feeling that way about AJ at first but on rewatches I find him to be quite interesting. If you remove Tony's hard surface, him & AJ are exactly the same.

I wish I could say I don't but the shows I'm into, I'm really into them.
When breaking bad was airing, I would rewatch the episode maybe twice before the next episode aired.

Main story aside, the monster of the week episodes are incredible.
The chemistry between Mulder & Scully is off the charts.
The thing that truly makes the show age so well is the way they light it & shoot it. A cable sci fi TV show in the 90s should look janky, but the amazing lighting & tricks they used on set makes every episode like a mini movie, & that's how I've always felt. Every week we got a movie.
