I didn’t say I was denying them a trip to Six Flags. I just wanted to see all my options. You don’t have to be rude.

I've wanted to go see that forever. I might look into that. Thanks for the idea!

I haven't made up my mind yet. I wanted to hear others' ideas. I would love a lot of these ideas if I was in fifth grade, but I am just concerned my 5th graders wouldn't find it quite as scintillating. They are a tough group to please, so I want to make sure we don't have further behavior issues.

I’ve heard that is awesome, but we did Genesee Valley at the beginning of the year. I think they’re pretty similar.

Looks super cool, but we did Genesee Valley at the beginning of the year, so it might be a bit too similar.

I’m sure they’d love it, but it probably is really far, especially with traffic. We have to go on buses and we go beyond the school day.

Yeah, we did Genesee Valley in September, so probably don’t want to do the same type thing again.

Yep, I work at one of the good schools in the city, so we go all out.

Not really any dress code. Just can't show too much skin, obviously. We don't really have any restrictions. Use you own discretion.

School choice does not result in good things for the most part. At my elementary school, our kids who come from out of zone are absent much more frequently than those who are in zone. It doesn't make sense to accept so many out of zone kids when this is the trend.

Thanks! I'm not sure all the parents of my students agree because I've been abused by a couple of them this year. I work hard, though, and I wish more people felt like you.

I teach 5th grade in Baltimore City. Make sure you get advice on which schools to apply to/contact. I’ve been in the worst of the worst and now I’m in a good school in the city. It’s still tough on a daily basis. It isn’t for the faint of heart. I love my kids and the job, but it’s never an easy pursuit.

Yeah, my kids that don't like reading, which, sadly, is the majority of them, definitely don't read at home. The ones that do love reading have parents who show them how important and exciting reading can be. I am a book nerd, so I love to read childrens' fiction and share my favorites with my students.

This teacher loves the book bank. I teach 5th grade in the city and unfortunately my kids are not in love with reading. If they were, I would be there every week to get books for them.

Yeah, if I see a car looking like it's not stopping and I have a walk signal, I let them go. It's not worth losing my life over someone exhibiting dangerous behaviors.

I’ve said that too, but then I got jumped on by residents of the Rotunda. They said it’s only for the apartment residents.

I teach in Baltimore City too and the ELA curriculum is just at complex. More than half my kids are below grade level for fifth grade, so I don’t know how they expect them to grapple with the curriculum as it is.

I wish they’d tear down the McDonalds on Falls Road and replace it with something beneficial. They steal credit cards and it leads to so much trash in the area. People throw entire fast food bags and food out the window on Buena Vista regularly. It makes me so angry.

Why do his trikes just sit everywhere on the Avenue anyway? Does he even live here anymore? I don’t see him anymore.

What's wrong with the bread at Petit Louis? I love the bread there, along with all of the other food. I was just there for my 30th birthday last week and it was amazing. The pot de creme was god tier.
