The line is too short and has too few stops. The alignment is far better than the east-west proposal but I fear that once it gets built there will never be political will to add infill stations to places like mount vernon that should obviously be served by it.

That’s a big issue, one of my favorite things is how they try to promote literacy at home first and offer resources for parents too

Not the most effective but a charity that does work and can show you exactly where your donations are going is the Maryland book bank. Their goal is promoting literacy for all age groups so they’ll give books to community centers, schools, libraries and direct to homes as well. If you have a bunch of old books in good shape I’d recommend sending them there.

NASAMS use American AMRAAM missiles so a large part is natively developed, not to mention patriot and the aforementioned stingers

This is part of a long term contract that was already in the works to replace the even older trains, the two aren’t mutually exclusive and we should be happy about this news.

I definitely believe In the heavy rail option because it’s got much better potential so I agree. However, if you look at their breakdown for some reason they believe it would have less ridership than a BRT line so I doubt it’ll ever be built
