It was staged for a picture to shock. He lend the animal from the Paris zoo. Happened in the 60s.

Future can not be predicted because it is not determined. You can foresight (not forecast) different futures.
So whatever this is - it reminds me of the kraken that predicted football games. You can believe it if you want.

Welcome to the idea that intelligence is a construct that never existed.
Those are ontological questions.
From my perspective AI cannot be achieved. It’s way more fascinating to observe how people always fall for technology and think this will make their lifes better. What does that say about culture and the society within? So much more interesting than „AI“
