Based on the last part of their post. It sounds like they will be back in some form at the new food hall that’s opening in Scott’s addition. It probably made more financial or logistical sense to make the location change or something

Reply to Richmond school district to rename Binford, Cary, and Ginter Park for $150k. by Charlesinrichmond
And yet I see my RPS teacher friends having to do fundraisers and drives just to afford necessary supplies for their classrooms.
Money well spent to change the name of schools that 95% of people didn’t even know were confederates

I’m not gonna be able to find a direct source for the forest part easily but knowing chesterfields (and for most part virginias) history from the 1800s-1950s our reliance on wood for construction and energy along with needing cleared land for farming use dramatically reduced the acreage of forests that we have today.
You can google vintage aerial photos of the area back to the 50’s and see how much land was cleared for farms and the lack of woods.

There’s more woods today in chesterfield compared to 100 years ago and an entire state park. It’ll be alright

Reply to Swath of Manchester up for grabs as former UPS office building set to hit the market by jbarrish
Only briefly mentioned but Harwood Cochrane really did a number on old Manchester.
So much he tore down just cause he saw it as an eyesore instead of an opportunity. And now we have these useless parking lots.
Glad to hear that might change soon though

Are signs with a candidates name really voter intimidation though? Kinda see it more if an eyesore and desperation

Is that any worse than the miserable people on Lindsey’s list instantly bitching about the price of rent of a apartment like the person subleasing has any control over?
