I’m less looking for advice and more for parameters I need to be thinking about and including in order to answer the question myself

So we would want to quantify 7 years of interest payments and compare it to the extra tax

Net investment income tax doesn’t apply here I don’t think? Withdrawals from an inherited 401k are 1099R income
