I’m part 1 you mentioned stan’s ex was a biologist at a national park, and crystal mentioned a biologist who used to work at glacier park, along with Alex and his friend who used to be in an abusive relationship? Sounds like Alex knew who Stan was long before they met in person, if you ask me.

Could also be that his dad was a shitty person even for his species. I imagine there should be a talk with Mira about what he is though.

That’s just how wendigo are made in general. I’m inclined to believe it’s not a wendigo though, since their defining characteristics are black-blue skin like that of a frozen corpse, a head like the skull of a stag, and inhumanly long and thin limbs, on top of an insatiable hunger. It’s unlikely they’re anything from Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or Western European lore either, since those are typically born monsters or undead. Could be something Russian or polish, maybe cursed by a hag for their taboo indulgence.

You’re right about how it originated. Halloween started with people dressing as fiendish things in an attempt to ward those things off, but it’s evolved over time into more of a dress up day than a spiritual ceremony.

I’d imagine they still are, in whatever dank pit they wound up in.
