Reply to LPT request - techniques for teaching a practical skill in a 1-1 setting, someone you don’t know. by quipp68
Never assume your student knows anything. Sometimes students will not feel comfortable asking for more detailed information, or will not even realize that they don’t know the things they don’t know. I like to imagine I’m teaching the skill to my elderly mom - I need to give her all the background info and really explain each step. If your student is picking up on things super quickly, you can adjust your style.

Wait, one more question. In January 2023 would I be paying for: January 2023, February 2023, March 2023 (what I think I’ll earn) - - or do I skip January 2023 and in April 2023 pay for what I did actually earn in Jan-March 2023?
I think it’s the second one.

Well this is super helpful! Thank you for all that info. I was not aware of self employment tax, I will definitely look into it!
For my 2022 taxes, I had 2 different W4 jobs, the one W9 job, and I got two pension payments. Is that going to be difficult for me to figure out on my tax return, or do you think it will make sense once I get started? Up to this point my tax returns have been super simple - one job, no surprises.

Thanks! For tax filing software, is that like TurboTax (or similar?) I’m already familiar with TT so that seems less daunting. And I do that in March, June, September, and December?

You will NEVER guess who just called me. Kristy from the governor’s office! 😳 That was fast!

It’s funny you mention that - I just emailed him this morning! I know he already hates the school district (for good reason) so I’m curious to see if anything will come of it.

That’s part of my problem, I’m having trouble finding anyone that deals with this. I’ve contacted about 5 firms so far, and two of them instantly told me no. ☹️

Do you think that will help? I feel like I'm constantly reading that /r/legaladvice is full of people who wish they were lawyers but actually have no idea what they're talking about. Maybe that's just a friendly rivalry thing?

Yes, I actually have a lawyer through the union but he's pretty useless. I'm starting to think it's time to level up, but I'm having trouble figuring out what that looks like.

Antibodies can also be transmitted to the baby through breastmilk, especially the early breastmilk called colostrum.
