How hard would it be to block, say, a dime sized hole, at least partially? Would something like a sheet of (coated) paper at least but you a few minutes?

It’s not always a placebo, either. It’s my understanding that in testing of things like pain killers the control is often something like a benzodiazepine just because the patient understands that they are likely to feel relaxed/sleepy and a true placebo would essentially unblind the study.

Aren’t most deep sea creatures more or less “legally” blind anyway, as an extreme lack of light doesn’t really incentivize putting resources towards vision.

Is the Prezewalskis Horse as closely related to a zebra as it looks, minus the stripes.

I’d find that to be torture, personally. I find that any pressure below around 12 feels like it’s harder to breath than without wearing at all. It isn’t - it just feels that the flow doesn’t instantly adjust, so it kinda feels like you’re breathing through a straw.
(FWIW, on therapy for a bit over 7 years now, using an auto set pressure of 17-20. 20 is the highest my machine goes… actual peak pressure used most nights is around 19-19.2. AHI of <1 most nights, even “bad” nights are 1.5-2ish. I treated I was somewhere in the mid 50s, well into “severe”.

… but provided both are capable of holding a given amount of charge.. the capacitor can discharge much more quickly, often almost instantaneously.
With supercapacitors actually starting to be a thing, there isn’t the huge gulf of capability there used to be.

Do we know if this is still true in species like crocodiles that freely lose/regrow teeth?

It’s more the seal I’m thinking of… like, if it starts to bow out, then it starts getting either squeezed through the hole or something.
