The longer the cable, the more voltage drop, not current drop. And yes, if the device pulls the same current that lower voltage will reduce the wattage slightly. (And charge speed is not current. It’s power: IxV) However, voltage drop in a cable that is of normal length isn’t going to be an issue, and putting a higher wattage brick behind it isn’t going to do squat.

If a 20W charger is used, the puck would still attempt to draw 15W of power because that’s the rated charging load. The brick isn’t going to shove more power into the device to make up for voltage drop. (And if it did, it would be as a result of higher current, which would also increase voltage drop further).

You decrease the effects of voltage drop by either increasing the conductor size or by raising the source voltage (and thereby decreasing current for the same load).

I haven't had my hearing formally tested, but I would be shocked if I have much hearing above 15kHz. I'm 45 and I was a drummer, and marching band with high tuned snares without hearing protection I'm sure took off quite a bit of the top end.

Clearly biased towards Otterbox? I’ve literally never owned an Otterbox case. I always go slim. My phone is currently in a Spigen Rugged Armor (which despite the name is fairly minimal). I also have several leather cases that have very minimal drop protection. They’re there for minor oopses.. not ultimate protection.

And again, you seem to think that case manufacturers are going to pay out $600-1000 on a phone for a $30 case. That isn’t going to happen.

Suing Otterbox? Give me a damn break. He dropped his phone from a moving vehicle. Otterbox didn’t make him do that.

You can install assistant, and access it by saying “hey siri, hey Google” (or tapping the app icon) and then waiting for assistant to activate. It’s not ideal, but it does allow access to assistant.

Works great for me.

There are no jailbreaks for recent iOS versions.
