I use this feature. I generally adjust trim so that the lights come on when I dim up from off. When I do that, it usually is bright enough to not strobe when you dim all the way down from fully lit.

I wonder what this actually looks like. If you zoom in on the fire fall you see a lot of clipping. Someone had been playing with the Lightroom sliders.

Have you ever considered stropping your xacto blade on a piece of leather every minute or so? Should keep it sharp through the whole set of cuts.
