Reply to comment by virginiarph in Is moving to NJ (JC/Hoboken/Weehawken) from Florida worth it to live and experience NYC? by virginiarph
JC is the better of all the options. You’re closer to liberty state park for the outdoors and if you’re closer to the water, you have the path and ferry as an option. If you want more bars and restaurants, take the light rail or quick Uber to Hoboken. JC is more chill too. Like everyone said, Hoboken has a lot of after college grads and unless you live close to the path, it’ll be a walk. Also moved from the city and it’s for sure the next best thing if you have to be in jersey

I wouldn’t do this all the time. But there are charging stations, like at the mall. It’s technically public I assume and if anyone trips or some a**hole wants to destroy the cord, you’re basically fcked. I would recommend doing it when there’s less foot traffic. You’d barely get a charge depending on the voltage too

Or literally anything. I used to use a laundry basket or an Adirondack chair

Reply to Commute from NYC to NJ? by [deleted]
I also made the move from the city and have friends in Manhattan and bk, I still miss it. But I get more space and a parking spot which was the trade off of moving here. It’s definitely doable, if timed right, like everyone says. I’ve done my fair share sitting on the floor at wtc waiting for the path but again, not the end of the world. I also do bite the bullet of an Uber, but that’s when I feel like it’s sketch to go home alone, depending where I am. I also don’t need to commute into the city everyday for work. Just gotta weigh it all out.
