I got pulled over by FBI for expired tags once. It was kinda weird because the officer was really nice. She apologized for pulling me over, said ‘they’re making us do this now’ and made some friendly small talk. I thought she was going to let me off but I still got a ticket.

I think they might be talking about this but got a few details wrong.

It was early in the Bush administration and SS wasn't involved. MPD tried to make them walk to Arlington but they never crossed the bridge and were eventually driven back to Thomas Circle.

I used to have to go to one of the big datacenters out there when my company moved our servers off site to a shared facility. Security is really tight and allowing tours would be a huge liability. But unless you're into server hardware and cables, it's pretty boring anyway.

It was a long time ago. Probably around ‘07 or ’08. They didn’t say anything about jurisdiction but I was on 9th right by the Hoover building.
