The industrial revolution fucked up a lot about long standing human practices, and our health suffers for it.

My wife will work maybe half the year, then take off for a few months. During that time she settles into a natural sleep/wake cycle of about 8 hours awake, 4 hours asleep, 6 hours awake, 6 hours asleep. That seems to mirror what has been explained from the time prior to industrialiation.

I used to work with a venture capitalist that put in crazy hours. He was selling his soul to reach a goal, and had insane energy. Up to run/train for marathons at 4am, work from 6am-9am from his room, then he'd hit my office and we'd be up until midnight when he finally wanted to break for supper. I'd get home at 2am, knowing that he may get 2 hours of sleep before he is up and bothering everyone again.

Eventually i had to point out that i did not have a goal of being wealthy, so my stake wasn't as high as his and I'd be working more reasonable hours.

Something to keep in mind: in the creatures eyes began evolving in, you aren't talking about generations spanning 20 years or something. Generations were on the order of a few weeks, and evolution was rather rapid fire by comparison to today. We have a nice stable planet, with stable weather and stable chemistry. When life was evolving basic forms of biology, that was not quite the case.

Beyond that, there is more than 1 path to creating an eye.

I have worked in mental hospitals, and have had issues with people becoming "water intoxicated" due to their psychosis. So despite what people tell you , you absolutely can drink too much water. Is it likely for a person not insane? No. But yeah....it can happen.

It doesn't hurt your kidneys, but can give you heart attack and other similar. You can make it worse by drinking distilled water, as it will leach more minerals from your body.

Raised by a single mom. Was in 2nd grade when this movie came out. My mom worked as a bookeeper in an oil field supply company. So we were definitely aware of the need to protect women in the workplace.

I was talking to my son this morning. I am a feminist 100%...but of the kind that was raised by a 70's/boomer feminist. So that is where most of my views tend to go....modern feminism is lost on me.
