Reply to Are there any IPhone chargers that are unbrekable. And don’t just claim to be. Put links below by SeaAsparagus5524
I’ve had Apple and third part chargers and never had a problem with any of them. I still use a 5 year old Apple charger from an old iPad and it’s as good as new.
The charging cables on the other hand only ever give me about a year or two at best. I don’t think anybody truly makes a cable that doesn’t fray or ends up with a dodgy connector at the device end after inserting and removing it hundreds of times.

It is definitely repairable as it’s likely just the screen which is damaged, but it will come down to cost and it could be complicated further if you’re buying it pay monthly and still in contract with your mobile provider. If you have an insurance on it such as AppleCare or a third party policy you could try that avenue for hopefully a free repair but without any insurance policy it’s likely to be expensive.
If you don’t have it insured and it’s a fairly recent model it might be worth getting a quote and going ahead, but if it’s an older model it would be better replacing it. If you’re still in contract with a phone provider though check how long is left as it could be expensive to end the contract early with the penalty fees.

Providers often say it takes 4 hours to port everything over but I’ve known it take up to a day. If there are still problems after 6 hours, sometimes turning the phone off completely and back on again to reregister on the network can help too.

Reply to Apple Watch Siri is incredibly useful by Speedysambam
Maybe ask him “how high is the volume set?” and he might tell you if the phone is charging. Apple is trolling us all with Siri.

Probably the electronics for a USB-C connector so they can keep the lightning port while adding a USB-C connector on the bottom of the phone to piss of the EU.

You’d be surprised. Working in IT professionally, if I got a dollar for every time I’ve asked someone “Have you restarted it to check if that solves your problem?”and got told “no” I’d be very wealthy now.
People often panic when tech isn’t working and immediately reach for the phone to call support before trying simple fixes first like checking enough storage is available or restarting the device. Some folk don’t even check if mains powered devices are plugged in and switched on.
