That would be awesome. I remember playing it a ton on Dreamcast when I was a kid, with my cousin. I remember making it to the end of the game, and not being able to last long enough against that boss. So we restarted the game, saving as many bullets as we could.

Still could not beat her.

I remember being so intrigued by the scenes shown during the main menu, and couldn't wait to see them ingame.

So yeah, if remade on PC, I'd get it to relive my childhood some.

Edit: I looked up a walkthrough out of curiosity. I didn't realize the boss we couldn't beat is the final boss. We probably got close to the part where that special gun unlocks.

Sounds like Post Rock and Post Metal. Check out bands in those two subgenres.

Bands like Isis, Neurosis, Pelican, Cult of Luna, Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Mogwai, Slint. Those could be a good starting point for such expansive subgenres, that will provide plenty of what you're lookin for. Keep an open mind, have fun exploring.

Deftones.

Check out songs like: Be Quiet and Drive, Digital Bath, Anniversary of An Uninteresting Event, Lucky You, Beware, Cherry Waves, Xerces, Sextape, Beauty School, Rosemary, Entombed, Hearts/Wires, Phantom Bride, Cermony, Pompeji, and so on.

Also check out bands that make Post Rock music (like, Explosions In the Sky for example). They're usually super chill.

The first well written female character that enters my mind is... Kreia from Knights of the Old Republic 2. I remember last playthrough I was totally mystified by her, found her interesting, but also very irked at the same time by the things she would say during our interactions.

Everytime I thought I knew it all, or that I was right, she would say something that would mess me up and make me think, and question. It created an interesting dynamic and I knew there was something more to her.

One day while playing, out of curiosity I looked her up (because I remembered even further back to when I beat the game on Xbox so knew I wouldn't be spoiled). I didn't realize she was so incredibly revered but I understood why, as I continued playing.

... now I really wanna play that game again, as a 31 year old who would understand it even better. It's been at least a decade.

The song Presure Point by the Post Hardcore band, Heartist, is perfect. Male singer though, but angry, powerful, and clearly about someone who was sexually assaulted. That's the only song I can think of at the moment
