Reply to Hollow core door question by trash_recycle
I just replaced 3 hollow core doors with prehung solid core doors for 200 apiece. They are very nice. I also invested in some Plantronics headsets that plug into the pc and phone, the sound blocking is good enough that you can speak at a normal volume on calls.

Reply to My father has developed asthma in his mid 50’s and I think an air purifier in his bedroom would be really good for him. Do you have any recommendations? by C_A_N_G
I use a Honeywell HPA300 in my fairly large bedroom. You can buy fairly inexpensive filter replacement kits on amazon. They make smaller ones, but the fan pitch is a bit higher and I don't like that. The 300 is good. I use this 24/7 and a Eufy robovac everyday, and it does wonders for me.
*Editing - I read that ozone can make asthma symptoms worse, so you may want to avoid any air filters that use that.

It's local to the area. I guess there's 99 year leases on the ground for some reason, now my mortgage company has to pay some guy in Florida 75 bucks twice a year. You have the option to buy it out, but if it's in the neighborhood of 5k, not even worth it to me.

I used to get stuck at the worst parking lot coming out of work onto MLK. I called in to explain the horrible timing situation, and they had no record of the light at all. lol
