I've found his endings just ...tail off for me for quite a few of the most recent ones - I don't know if he's just being edited more cautiously, or he's running out of steam, or I'm just nostalgic for the points where there was almost too much book left, but FT for me felt like it was missing about 20%, Revival ended in the wrong place, the Hodges ones were a little lacking in places... IDK. Billy Summers felt more like vintage King, though, albeit again perhaps teasing more than it delivered.

Heard of her, dislike her approach to research. Can't (re-)read her books as a result.

I had my life kinda ruined (traumatised for some time, cost me money, jeopardised a job, etc) by something that the person who did it barely remembered a month later, never mind now. That will never excuse it. I may not ever forget it, and neither will the handful of other people affected.

https://www.ingredientsforcooks.co.uk/rolls-buns/traditional-english-muffins-48-x-72g/ This is what muffins should look like when cut open (and toasted). There is a pic on the same page of crumpets, with the holes, for the commenters here who apparently only know the US version.
OP, these look really good...

Muffins should not have holes. They're like (fluffy) bread inside, it's the outside that's distinct from other bread products. Crumpets are made in rings with a bicarb batter - you can do it with yeast but it's not the same as a bread dough, it's much runnier.

Yeah, I really did enjoy it, but just wanted a bit more.
