live in my house long enough that both sofas I've bought were delivered through the front window. I'm lucky to have newer windows that are easy to pop out.

Just bought 2nd washer dryer and luckily delivered through a rear bulkhead into the basement and the Home Depot guys doing the delivery didn't bat an eye at doing this.

i had them (Horizon) out a few years ago to assess my roof and they came out within a day or two, assessed the roof, invited me up to explain what they saw, pronounce the roof OK and charged me nothing.

Left a good feeling about them...and they will be a call again to assess the roof again soonish.

it was never a public lot....just towing wasn't enforced for so long it became a de-facto one.

can't comment on that but The Avenue is the street for the buses through the neighborhood and there aren't any near by parallel streets that could replace it and provide convenient transit to the area.
