It's antiquated boomer middle management talk to say nobody can work from home because you don't think they will work. That's not what I'm saying at all. Relationships exist in every job in every industry. When people blame nepotism, what they really hate is that somebody got an opportunity they didn't. When I need to hire someone, I ask around. "Do you know anyone who would fit this role". Etc. Maybe it's someone you play golf with. Maybe it's an old coworker. You don't make those connections at a wfh job.

Tools wear. Every part is going to be a little different. Materials also aren't perfect. Even with lots of quality control 1 heat treat lot might be a little different than another. The grain structure of materials are going to vary slightly. Etc, etc.

Let me add this. I think wfh jobs aren't a great idea early in your career. Your entire career trajectory is based on relationships. Those relationships are hard to build remote. Take the job. Suck up the commute. I also advocate for moving out. Get roommates. Again, relationships.

You ever see those big water towers? That height difference provides the water pressure

The limiting factor is tire traction. If the brakes have enough force to match the tire traction, then nothing can be gained with engine braking.
On a heavily loaded truck with hot brakes? That's when a jake brake is used.

That really is a style thing. I'm guilty of it. Road is aero. Dirt gets a visor. The visor does almost nothing but you look pretty silly without one.

I wouldn't put a 2x4 on its side to support any roof load. Up that to a 2x6. Notch the post and set it in.

Anything structural requires new aluminum. Including cans.
Scrap aluminum is actually mostly used as an oxidizer for steel production. They add it to the pot and it pulls all the impurities to the top.
Refining metals is a dirty business.

If you are drilling block, their regular cordless hammer drill is fine. If you are drilling real concrete, you want a dedicated sds drill

Make a clamp block out of wood. Drill a hole in the wood the same size as the tube and then split the wood with a saw. Now you can clamp the block in a vise and cut the tube with a hack saw.

Companies don't want to carry cash over to the new year. Then its profit that gets taxed. Spend it on business expenses and it is tax free. Ideally, you'd spend that money on investments that improve the company's performance. I work in manufacturing, there is always a rush to spend your profits in Nov/Dec to update equipment.

If all 4 sides of your patch are supported, you are good to go. Use setting mud, and fiberglass tape for your first coat.

I just looked this up for my own harvesting.
The IRS has some ambiguous language. You can't buy the sma fund but you also shouldn't buy a similar fund with a different name. Ie, if you swap a vanguard s and p fund for a fidelity s and p.
You can swap a total market for an s and p. That's what I did. You also can't rebuy the fund you sold. So if you have auto buys on your 401k you need to switch them.
