Yes, I was going to say the Dari boot from Nisolo. I think they are waterproof too, which is a nice feature.

Also I love Nisolo shoes/boots (I own so many!) for a dressier, less workboot style.

I really like the Ariat Wexford as an alternative to Blundstones. From what I’ve read (with the caveat that I don’t own Blundstones), the Ariats are more flexible and less chunky. Also easier to get on/off. I ordered them after reading comparisons and have been very very happy.

Or the printed measurements wear off.

My BIL is a big dude who needs a sturdy chair and loves these ones. They seem super indestructible, but the trade off is that they are not the most lightweight, packable chairs.

I usually get them on eBay or other resale sites! Bought a brand-new S&K Camelia coat on Poshmark for $225 (retail: $400+) this past winter. Still expensive! but the quality is better than most things you can get for that price, IMO.

Not until I was working and had $$! But it changed my whole feeling about winter.

Right? I came to NYC at 18 and didn’t have “proper” winter gear for years. Poor college kid, would just always be miserable outside. Finding a coat in which it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to be cold was literally life-changing…

Soia & Kyo is my go-to. Canadian-level warmth, and stylish (as stylish as puffer coats can be). I don’t even zip my coat most days in NYC winters because it’s almost too-warm. They last forever too… eventually the pockets wore out a bit on my first one after 8yrs, and I bought an even warmer version. But there was so much life in it that the person I gave it to was THRILLED. Now I am a brand convert!

Wish Frye would add that to their lineup then. My friend worked for them for a decade and would always warn me not to get them (any of my many pairs) wet because Frye wouldn’t stand behind any warranty or repair if you did.
