Apparently it’s also slang for a boogie board. Not sure if they actually used a cooler lid or a boogie board.

The article says the Glitter cleanup was scheduled for the day after trash pickup because those are the days with the most litter. So the Streets Dept was hitting the block once for regular pickup then again for Glitter pickup.

And every block is approximately 1/10th of a mile. So if you need to walk from 3rd St to 8th St, you know it’s 0.5 miles. It works north south too with the block numbers: the 1400 S block is about 1.4 miles south of Market St.

I bought one of their carbon fiber ones during their kickstarter. Do they only make aluminum ones now? I love the carbon fiber for travel because it doesn’t set off metal detectors.
