It’s good to have both (if you can afford it). I agree speakers are more enjoyable than headphones, especially if physicality and stage are important to you. On the other hand, it is hard to get clean sound out of speakers without room treatments and correction, and that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. If you had to chose one, I can see why a lot of people would go the headphone route given certain lifestyle constraints. I read somewhere that speakers put you inside the music, and headphones put the music inside of you. As a music lover, both are feelings you want to have ;-)

Bluesound node has digital in via USB and optical, and I believe it can read a NAS or USB drive directly without a computer. You can use that as a streamer and go RCA out to a fancy HP amplifier or just use the built-in HP amplifier on the node. If you’re willing to invest more money, you can go with a computer with Roon on it which will let you manage your NAS files and streaming (from Qobuz or Tidal) in the same interface. This will let you also access all that music on the go as well. Maybe as a next step upgrade down the line… :)

It’s crazy you guys think these are basic pieces. The modi and magni are really well measuring pieces and in the top categories on ASR if I remember correctly. Price isn’t a spec y’all.

I’ve worked out in my Bang & Olufsen H4s for years now and nothing has happened to them. Sure the lamb skin leather pads are a bit discolored but that’s to be expected. I don’t do cardio in them, just weight lifting so I sweat a bit on them but not a huge amount. Functionally, they’re still perfect. Obviously this is true of my B&O cans, so YMMV.
